Allison Harris Schifini practices in the area of finance
with an emphasis on aircraft, engines, and aircraft equipment. Allison’s aviation transactional experience
includes operating and finance leasing, sales and acquisitions, sale/leasebacks, negotiating fractional
share program documents, and asset-backed financings through debt and capital market transactions. Her
financing work includes representing commercial airlines in fleet financing under an ECA facility as
well as through the issuance of enhanced equipment trust certificates. Allison’s aviation experience
also includes working on the restructuring of debt for a commercial airline, and providing due diligence
on aviation-related documentation for corporate acquisitions. She has worked for multinational companies
advising on their business aircraft operations, as well as handling general commercial matters such as
advertising agreements, office leasing, food and beverage licensing, antenna
licensing, and various other service and operations agreements.
Allison also has real estate experience including commercial leasing, mortgage loan financings,
equity and joint venture work, municipal bond financings, and
hospitality development. Her real estate work includes helping investors negotiate joint venture agreements
for developing and managing commercial property in New York City.
Allison graduated from New York University School of Law (J.D., 1995) and Washington University
(B.A,. 1990), and earned an honorary degree from the East West Institute of Politics and Law in
Shanghai, China (1993). She is admitted to practice in the State of New York (1997). After law school,
Allison also served for a few years as the Manager of Corporate Programs of China Institute in America
where she organized China-related business conferences and hosted Chinese government and business
delegations, including the Mayor of Chongqing and the former Vice Premier of China. She is conversant in Mandarin
Chinese.
