> Stephen R. Stegich
Stephen R. Stegich joined Condon & Forsyth LLP in 1972 and is a partner of the firm.
Steve has concentrated in products liability litigation and insurance coverage issues for
several of the firm's manufacturing and insurance clients and has represented various aviation
manufacturers in complex U.S. litigation
for over thirty-five years. He is a rated commercial pilot with instrument rating and was a combat
helicopter pilot with the Unites States Marine Corps. Steve has lectured in the U.S.,
Europe and South America on product liability prevention issues and accident investigation.
Steve is admitted to the bar of New York (1973), the District Courts for the Southern,
Eastern and Western Districts of New York (1973), the U.S. Courts of
Appeals, Second, Sixth, Eighth and Tenth Circuits (1976) and the U.S. Supreme Court (1989).
He is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City
of New York, the New York State and American Bar Associations, the Federal Bar Counsel, the
International Association of Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, the Aviation Product
Liability Subcommittee, the American Helicopter Society, the International Helicopter Society and
the National Aeronautical Association.
Along with Condon & Forsyth LLP being selected as one of the top aviation law firms for 2011, special
mention was made of Steve in the Legal 500 (2011) as being highly recommended for his work as a leader
in the firm's insurance coverage, product liability, tort defense and aviation practices.
Steve has also been honorable mentioned in The International Who's Who of Aviation Lawyers (2008-2011).
He is a Captain (Retired), United States Marine Corps, 1965-1969. Steve graduated from the
University of Notre Dame (J.D., 1972; B.S. in Architecture, 1965) where he was a member of
Tau Beta Pi and Tau Sigma Delta.
